The firm also participates in high profile criminal cases in defense of accused persons in addition to representing the indigent. The firm is also prominent in the area of Human Rights Litigation with particular bias in social, cultural and economic rights.
The firm’s clients benefit from a wealth of experience and resources that its legal practitioners have developed in handling complex legal matters, ranging from single actions and small to large financial transactions and commercial transactions. We have chambers in Harare and Mutare, which boast a combined seven lawyers. Maunga Maanda and Associates presently carries on practice in Harare and Mutare as a partnership of three legal practitioners, two associates, and two consultants. We also believe in in-house training of lawyers and currently, the firm has one student who joined the firm after her Advanced Level and is currently doing her law degree with the Midlands State University. The firm also regularly takes law students on attachment as part of in-house training.
